What is Avocado Oil?
A thick, nutrient-rich oil pressed from the flesh of avocados, high in oleic acid, vitamins A/D/E, and phytosterols.
Why is it used in products?
Its deeply moisturizing properties and vitamin content make it popular in nourishing creams, especially for dry and mature skin.
Why does it clog pores?
Avocado oil has a heavy consistency and is high in oleic acid (about 60%), which disrupts the lipid balance in pores and promotes comedone formation. Its thick texture creates a strong occlusive barrier that traps sebum. It's one of the heavier plant oils and is especially problematic for oily or combination skin.
