A blend of minerals sourced from soil deposits, marketed as earth-derived skin nutrients in natural skincare.
Why is it used in products?
Brands use them for their mineral content and "straight from the earth" natural marketing appeal.
Why does it clog pores?
Soil-derived mineral blends often contain heavy, unrefined particles that physically block pore openings. The variable composition of these blends makes it impossible to predict their comedogenic potential. They can also create an occlusive mineral layer on skin that traps sebum and dead cells inside follicles.
